Referrals at The Bowlby Centre

The Bowlby Centre offers an attachment-based relational psychotherapy service.

This is made up of The Blues Project which is designed to offer low cost therapy. People being seen in therapy in the Blues Project agree to a contract which offers them twice weekly therapy usually with a student working under supervision for a period of two years.

The Centre also runs a therapy referral service referring people to our therapists seeking to find the most appropriate therapist for each person seeking therapy.

We are working to develop contractual work from health service and local authority services

All members should keep the referrals coordinator (email: referrals@thebowlbycentre.org.uk) up to date with their current practice and availability. It is hoped that all Members will see some clients on a low fee basis in line with the values and aims of The Centre.

Practitioners are asked to pay one session’s fees to the centre for referrals they receive from The Centre.
All members must be in regular supervision as part of their Continuing Professional Development (CPD Policy)

Rooms at The Centre are available for clinical practice to pre-registration students free of charge for low cost and Blues Project clients depending on availability. Once Registered, students are asked to move their non Blues practice to leave room for new PITs to use the facilities
